Sazoneros! In the spirit of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, I wanted to share this fashionable event for a great cause. On Thursday, July 15th, Nicole Miller Miami will host an exclusive evening to benefit The Florida Heart Research Institute. Come out to enjoy a night of fashion and philanthropy while relaxing to a live performance by top billboard jazz artist, Nicole Henry. The event's theme is Clients on the Runway: preview the latest Nicole Miller collection modeled by local women who are committed to the community and its charity organizations. Sassoon Salon will style the runway hair and M.A.C. Cosmetics will provide all of the glam for the night! There will be plenty of hors d'oeuvres and cocktails throughout the evening thanks to Bellini Italian Bistro. Best of all, a percentage of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to The Florida Heart Research Institute. To RSVP for this event, call 305-535-2200 or email nmmiami@nicolemiller.com. El Scorpion Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar kicks off Cinco de Mayo...Miami Style!

After sifting through all of the Cinco de Mayo events in Miami, I recommend you check out El Scorpion on South Beach! The Mexican restaurant is hosting "Maracas & Margaritas" on Wednesday, May 5th, from 10 a.m. till 5 a.m. the next day! Arrive early because the first 50 guests will receive a FREE Corona with their purchase (not to mention there will be Tequila specials as well). Do you work till 5 p.m.? Stop by for the Mariachi Happy Hour from 5 to 7 p.m. and relax to the sounds of a live Mariachi band. Happy hour specials include 2 for 1 House Margaritas and Coronas for $2. Once you've got your drinks under control, stick around for the live DJ at 8 p.m. I'm telling you: this place has festivities lined-up for the whole night! After the DJ takes the stage, there will be a Frida Kahlo look-a-like contest where one lucky winner will receive a $100 gift card! El Scorpion (my horoscope sign- for those who may be curious) is located at 431 Washington Avenue in Miami Beach. Orale guey! Party like it's 1999 and always remember to drink responsibly! xoxoSource URL: https://bikini-poper.blogspot.com/search/label/Miami%20Beach

The Great Urban Race is making its first stop ever in MIAMI on January 30th. This is not your ordinary race. It's actually a great opportunity to go on a crazy adventure around the city. Grab your "partner in crime" because only teams of two are allowed to participate in the race. The event's starting location is at Ocean's Ten Restaurant & Lounge (960 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach). Each team will receive an envelope with twelve clues including puzzles, scavenger clues, brain teasers and even physical challenges. Teams are only allowed to travel by foot or public transportation (includes buses, trains, ferries and trolleys). WOW I'm exhausted already haha!! Think you're up for the challenge? Sign up early because the longer you wait...the higher your entry fee ($40- $60). For a complete list of rules or to register online, visit http://greaturbanrace.com/register10_miami.php.
